WORDS OF WISDOM FROM 1 JOHN
On Believers Sins: 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteous."
On Knowing God: 1 John 2:4 "The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar."
On Loving: 1 John 2:9 "Anyone who claims to be in the light, but hates his brother is till in darkness."
On Professed Believers Who Abandon Their Faith: 1 John 2:19 "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us.
On the Impact of Salvation: 1 John 3:9 "No one who is born of God, will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go one sinning."
On the Nature of Love: 1 John 3:16: "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers."
On Assurance of Salvation: 1 John 5:1 "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God."
1 John 5:11-12 "This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son, he who has the Son has life."
