Bible Scripture Reading for 5 April 2012

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 5 April 2012"

Today's Blog Title: "A Reign of Righteousness"
Today's Scripture Reading: Isaiah 32:1-20
Today's Key Verse: Isaiah 32:1 "Behold , a king will reign in righteousness, And princes will rule with justice."

The "king who" shall reign in righteousness "Christ Himself."  The prophet foresees a time when government will exist that is totally characterized by "righteousness and judgment." Such a description does not fit Hezekiah, the best of Judah's kings.  Rather, Isaiah sees a greater day coming when the godly character of Judah will be "as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land."  This will be a time when the ignorant will "understand knowledge".  He also sees a time of complete national conversion when the "spitit" will be "poured upon us" (Joel 2:28).

The fifth woe of Isaiah which started in chapter 31 concludes in chapter 32 with a prophecy about leadership (verses 1-8) and its effects (verses 9-20). Paradoxically, generous leaders (verses 1-5) produce abundance and permanent security (verses 16-20), whereas the miserly (verses 6-7) produce false security and desolation (verses 9-14).

Peace is only possible where there is righteousness, and righteousess only where God's spirit transforms humankind.  We are told in Isaiah 57:20-21, "The wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud. 'There is no peace,' says my God, 'for the wicked.'"

Today's Biblical Truth: "If a person mediates on evil, that person will speak and act treacherously."

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day. Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness. Love God More Today. Pray for our Brothers and Sisters who are being persecuted for their Faith and Trust in Jesus.  Pray for Youcef Nardarkhani the Iranian pastor who has been sentenced to death for his refusal to denounce Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Pray for God's Peace on the city of Jerusalem and His Blessings on the Nation of Israel.  Always remember that when you have a spiritual dilemma in your life and you yell out, "I CAN'T," GOD Whispers to you, "BUT I CAN."

"A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor." Proverbs 29:23

Jesus Reigns!!!! May God's Love, Peace, Strength, and Grace be with you all.

Your Sister in Christ,
Cindi
