Bible Scripture Reading

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for Monday 16 July 2012"

Today's Blog Title: "The Righteousness of God's Judgment"
Today's Blog Scripture Reading: Isaiah 65:1-25
Today's Blog Key Verse: Isaiah 65:17 "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind."

In response to the prayer in chapter 64, God speaks to the Gentiles who have come to trust in Him.  "I am found of them and sought me not" refers to the unconditional election of the Gentiles as the bulk of the New Testament Church of God (Romans 10:20).  The Jews themselves are called a "rebellious people," but God still promises to bring a "seed out of Jacob...mine elect."  The language here is like that of Romans 11:1-5, where Paul insists that God has not forsaken His people Israel.  The references of the plain of "Sharon" and the "Valley of Achor" blooming abundantly, look forward to the prosperity Israel will enjoy during the Millennial Kingdom of Christ.

In verses 17-25, Isaiah now sees further into the future than any other Old Testament prophet, looking beyond the Millennial Kingdom to the "new heavens and a new earth (Revelation 21).  Thus the reader is suddenly thrust into the celestial future of the New Testament.  "Weeping and crying" shall be no more in verse 19, is repeated by John in Revelation 21:4 when he writes, "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes...for the former things have passed away."

Today's Biblical Truth: "What God will create, should be more real to us than the sorrows we remember, and will soon forget."

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day. Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness.
Love God More Today.  Continue to Pray for Youcel Nardarkhani the Iranian Pastor who has been sentenced to death for his refusal to denounce Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and for his lawyer who has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for defending in in the Iranian Court.  Pray for all our Brothers and Sisters in Christ who are being persecuted for their Faith and Trust in Jesus. Always remember that when you have a spiritual dilemma in your life and you yell out, "I CAN'T," GOD Whispers to you, "BUT I CAN."

"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.

Jesus Reigns!!!  May God's Love, Peace, Strength, and Grace be with you all.

Your Sister in Christ,
Cindi
