"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 26 July 2012"
Today's Blog Title: "Ruth Meets Boaz"
Today's Blog Scripture Reading: Ruth 2:1-23
Today's Blog Key Verse: Ruth 2:12 "The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge."
In chapter 2 of Ruth, we met Boaz, who is introduced as a relative of Naomi's deceased husband. This is important, for if he had not been a relative, Boaz could not have qualified as a "kinsman redeemer."
We now see that Naomi and Ruth were now in the position of the "widow and fatherless" in Israel, for they had no one to care for them, and no means of support. As it was the beginning of barley harvest, Ruth volunteered to go into the fields to collect whatever the workers missed. Without planning it, she began work in a field belonging to Boaz, a relative of Naomi's dead husband.
When Boaz arrived, he welcomed her and invited her to keep working in his fields. He also told his workman to make sure they left stalks of grain for her to gather. With this help, Ruth was able to gather about 40 pounds of grain, which was an unusually large amount of grain for a reaper.
Naomi, immediately saw the significance, and realized that someone had purposely helped Ruth. When Naomi discovered the man was Boaz, a near relative and that he would qualify to be a kinsman-redeemer, Naomi told Ruth to continue working in the field of Boaz. Naomi already had began to hope, and to plan.
Today's Biblical Truth: "God is a rewarder of all those who diligently seek Him."

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day. Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness.
Love God More Today. Continue to pray for Youcef Nardarkhani the Iranian Pastor who has been sentenced to death for his refusal to denounce Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior, and also for his lawyer who has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for his defending him in the Iranian Court. Pray for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ who are being persecuted for their Faith and Trust in Jesus. Always remember, that when you have a spiritual dilemma in your life and you yell out, "I CAN'T," GOD Whispers to you, "BUT I CAN."
What shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31
Jesus Reigns!!! May God's Love, Peace, Strength, and Grace be with all of you.
Your Sister in Christ,
Cindi
