Daily Bible Verse and Hymn for Tuesday 14 December

"Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Today is the first day of this new blog site.  If you received this please let me know in the comment section on the page or email me at cindilynn53@yahoo.com

Day 6 of the Old Testament predictions of the birth of Jesus and the New Testament fulfullment.

Prophecy: The Messiah would be an heir to the throne of David

Old Testament Prediction: Isaiah 9:6-7: For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder.  His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace, there will be no end.  Upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice, from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this"

Meaning: "The Child mentioned in verse 6 is the true prince.  The one who has the right to reign and bring peace.  The four names mentioned in this verse tells us of the names the future  Messiah will have.  The names also assert the dual nature of the Savior to come.  He is God become man.  The fact that this coming child will occupy the throne of David forever fulfills God's promise to David in verse 7.

New Testament Fulfillment: Luke 1:32-33: "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.  He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end"

Meaning: The word Highest in this verse is referring to the majesty of God.  Jesus fulfilled and will fulfill God's promise to David concerning an unending dynasty.  The Old Testament describes in detail this promise which was was fulfilled in the New Testament by the birth of Jesus.

O sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation
Sing all that hear in heaven God's Holy word
Give to our Father glory in the highest
O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Heavenly Father, Thank you for Jesus who is Wonderful, Counselor, Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace.  Thank you for the Holy Spirit which guides and leads our paths.  May we always continue to Praise and Glorify Your Most Holiest of Names.
                                                                   Amen

"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation".
                                                           Romans 10:9-10

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day

Yours In Christ
