Weekend Bible Verse and Hymn for Sunday 27 February 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Hebrews 4:16

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

Mercy, is a compassion for a suffer so great, that it moves one to help.  Here in this verse, mercy implies failure.  We come to God, because our sins have led us away from Him, and from rest.  

We as Christians should courageously approach God in prayer, because He is a throne of grace, and our High Priest sits at His right hand interceding for us.  The wonder of this passage is that, Jesus understands our weaknesses, and so we can come before God and find not recriminations but MERCY and GRACE.

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest mot, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As thou hast been, Thou forever will be
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me

Heavenly Father, How thankful we are, that we can boldly come before Your throne.  How thankful we are for Your Son Jesus Christ, who sits at Your right hand, and who intercedes for us before You.  Thank you Father for Your Mercy, and Grace which you so lovingly pour down upon us.

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace and Serve the Lord with Gladness.  Love God More Today and remember that when you have a spiritual Defeat that yells, "I Can't", God whispers "BUT I CAN".
