Today's Blog Title: "The Coming Messianic King"
Today's Scripture Reading: Psalm 2:1-12
Today's Key Verse: Genesis 2:11 "Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling."
Psalm 2 is a royal Psalm and focuses on the coming and glorious reign of the Lord's Messiah. In the Hebrew text the author is unknown but in the New Testament (Acts 4:24-26) the apostles assign it it to David.
Psalm 2 is a prophetically on the coming reign and rule of Jesus. This Psalm has four movements each related to a different voice or speaker:
(1) A description of the plans of the wicked (verses 1-3)
(2) The Father's derisive laughter from Heaven (verses 4-6)
(3) The Son's declaration of the Fathers decree (verses7-9)
(4) The Spirit's instruction to all kings to obey the Son (verses 10-12)
In our Key Verse today the words, "rejoice with trembling" would mean that with proper fear, adoration, reverence, and awe of the Most Holy God could there be real joy in the coming Kingdom.
The human society that lives here on this earth is rebellious against God's anointed Messiah, and is provoking God's scorn and judgment. God has declared that His Son will rule the earth. How essential is it to believe and trust in Jesus now, and find His Love, Grace, and Blessings rather than face destruction and spending all eternity away from God, for rejecting Him as God's Son and your Savior.

Rejoice, the Lord is King! Your Lord and King adore;
Mortals give thanks and sing, and triumph evermore;
Lift up your voice, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
Jesus, the Savior, reigns, the God of truth and love;
When He had purged our stains He took His seat above
Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
Rejoice, again I say rejoice
Heavenly Father, May we as believers from the time we wake up to start our day, and until we finish our day, lift up our hearts and our voices in total adoration for you. May we rejoice in trembling with fear, adoration, reverence and awe at You the Most Holy God. Help us Lord in all aspects of our life's to keep focused on You.
