Today's Blog Title: "Rest In God"
Today's Scripture Reading: "Psalm 62:1-12
Today's Key Verse: Psalm 62:7 "In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, and my refuge is God."
Psalm 62 is a wisdom song urges silent confidence in the victory of God over all enemies because salvation is found only in Him. The expressions of trust found in verses 1, 2, and 5-7 are rich with figures that picture the absolute stability of being found in God. At least five nouns describe God's protection: rock, salvation and defense in verse 2, glory and refuge in verse 7.
David finds rest in God from the turmoil caused by his enemies. He affirms his trust in God and calls us to trust Him too. Because of who God is, we can. In verses 11-12 "one thing...two things" are the two most powerful and wonderful verses in the entire Bible. What a joy it is to know and to learn by experience, that God is strong and that He is loving.

His oath, His covenant,His blood, Support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my Hope and Stay
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit How wonderful it is for us as Christians to be able to stand on Christ whom is the solid ground and that He is our Hope and Stay. May we always remember that our Abba Father is always strong and that He is always loving and saves us by His grace.
