Bible Scripture for the joy Reading for Wednesday 14 September 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 14 September 2011"

Today's Blog Title: "Praise to God for Sustaining All"
Today's Scripture Reading:  Psalm 147:1-20
Today's Key Verses:

Psalm 147:1 "Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful."
Psalm 147:3-5 "He heals the brokenhearted, And binds up their wounds. He counts the stars; He calls them all by name.  Great is the Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite."
Psalm 147:11 "The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those hope is in His mercy."

Psalm 146 was a psalm of individualistic psalm, Psalm 147 forms an appropriate contrast with it's emphasis on communal praise. This psalm is a psalm of descriptive psalm and places a strong emphasis on creation themes.

God, who heals the broken hearted, sustains the universe itself by His power.  God, who supplies the living on earth, takes delight in those who fear Him and grants them peace.  God, who controls all by His Word, has blessed Israel with His commands and decrees.  Praise the Lord.

This psalm has three parts: (1) a command to praise the Lord for His restorative mercies (verses 1-6); (2) a command to praise the Lord for the joy He finds in His people (verses 7-11); (3) a command to praise the Lord for His Word (verses 12-20).

Today's Hymn: "For The Glory Of Your Name"

God, You keep us without falling, as You watch us from above
In Your comings and our goings, sheltered by Your precious love
In the pouring rain of mercy, comes the grace by which we're saved
For the glory of Your Name, for the Glory of Your Name

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how thankful we are for Your Word which tells us how to find eternal salvation through Jesus Christ Your Son.  How thankful we are your never ending Love and Mercy which allows us to come boldly before you through the shed blood of Jesus.  How thankful that we are that we are forgiven through the death and resurrection of Your Son Jesus Christ.  Protect us from falling and allow us to shine for You in all that we do so that others might see You in us.
                                                                                                                         Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "To fear God is to be properly responsive to Him in awe and wonder."

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness.  Love God More Today and always remember that when you have a spiritual dilemma in your life and you yell out, "I CAN'T", God Whispers to you, "BUT I CAN".

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
